Vinyasa Flow all levels

Slower flow class emphasizes breath and optimal form. You will be introduced to a variety of everyday poses, alignment basics and may say “hello” to playful intermediate asanas! Gain confidence in your natural capabilities and learn to feel better in your own body. Ways to modify are given for beginners, injured and tighter students. Expect clear instructions, use of props, postural demonstrations, and lots of support from your teacher. Perfect for beginners and ongoing students who want to remember, return and deepen into what’s essential.

Ready to explore the next level of practice safely and intelligently? Get the tips and tricks for intermediate standing poses, inversions, arm balances, backbends, hip openers, twists, binds and forward folds. Every category of asana will eventually be explored. Each week this class will deconstruct peak poses and discover deeper layers of alignment and yogic philosophy. Expect strong work, sophisticated instructions, postural demonstrations and the use of props and partner work. With time, practice, guidance from an experienced teacher and the encouragement of other asana enthusiasts your practice will advance. Appropriate for dedicated, non-injured yogis who would climb to the top just to see the view.

Vigorous flow in rhythm with breath. Athletic by nature, vinyasa classes ignite inner fire, improve cardiovascular fitness, make the spine more supple, develop total-body coordination and focus the mind. Dance through dynamic, creative sequences. While alignment cues may be minimal, the movement patterns in this class are repeated often, allowing practitioners to deepen their poses and experience. Typically a wide variety of poses are linked together by various forms of sun salutations. These expressions honor and awaken the energy (prana) that pulses through our bodies. When this energy is conjured out of the most confined places within we can experience profound release, healing, insights or bliss. Difficult but doable for all levels. Come breathe, get out of your head and move your body! Oh, and bring a towel.

Yin is the perfect compliment to “yang” workouts. Balance your climbing and strong workouts with these rejuvenating, restorative classes. Floor postures are held for longer periods of time to stimulate and release deep connective tissues and joints. Open not just the physical body, but the meridians of the energy body allowing vital life force to flow. Quietly intense, yogis are challenged to cultivate the mindful presence of a meditation practice. Props are often used for greater decompression. Suitable for all levels of students. Drop in deeply.

Build acrobatic strength and make community connections. Because we transition from our own mat onto the supportive hands and feet of a friend, we are given the opportunity to work on trust, communication, compassion and most importantly: playfulness! Like Einstein said, “play is the highest form of research.” Explore acrobatics, inversions and partner yoga in a safe and fun environment. Detailed alignment instructions, tips & tricks and modifications for newbies are offered as part of this challenging yoga practice.
